I believe that it can help to talk through how you feel with an experienced and trained person. Therapy can help you to understand and make sense of what is going on for you, it can help you to feel clearer about what you need and what you want.
When you are in therapy, you can talk about anything that is worrying you, anything at all. The therapy room is a confidential space and the therapist will listen and help you to reflect on what's going on.
Therapy isn't about giving advice or telling you what to do. It is an opportunity for you to explore your feelings and concerns in a supportive and non-judgemental environment. We can look at the choices you have made, and patterns you feel you repeat and we can help you to understand why you may do this and give you a greater understanding of yourself and your situation. We do this together, you are not on your own. We work together to help you.
So, therapy can help you to understand and recognise the resources you already have which can bring change to your life. Together we can open up the possibility of new ways to be, and help you to cope with what happens in your life.
